SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports Massage is specifically tailored to sporting injuries or ailments. It is not meant to be a relaxing massage and, indeed, can become quite vigorous at times. Sports massage is designed to prevent and relieve injuries and conditions that are associated with exercise. It can often be quite strenuous and is meant to relieve and reduce the stress and tension that can build up within the body’s soft tissues while exercising.

 

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY

Neuromuscular Therapy is a form of soft tissue manual therapy. It is distinguished from other types of massage in that pressure is applied to the skin with the aim of stimulating specific areas of skeletal muscle. NMT is a program of soft tissue manipulation that balance the central nervous system with the structure and form of the musculoskeletal system. This therapy can reduce muscle pain and is more intense than Swedish massage.

 

PRENATAL MASSAGE

Prenatal massage, promotes relaxation, soothes nerves, and relieves strained back and leg muscles in expectant mothers, which is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back. This therapy is also tailored specifically to the needs of pregnant women and can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression…

 

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish Massage Swedish Massage involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing.
